CAMPISMO FARÓL-DA-PRAIA DA BARRA
(Portuguese for the lighthouse camping on the point of Barra beach)

The 4 x 4 campsite near the Lighthouse at Ponta da Barra is situated at the point of the pristine Barra Peninsula, approx. 20 Km from the town of Inhambane on the Barra peninsula, where Africa is still Africa.

The town of Inhambane is located approximately 500 km north of Maputo and is characterized by fascinating architecture, fresh produce markets and a simple African vibe, with an unmistakable hint of Portuguese and Arabic influence. Inhambane may serve as a refreshment station and for an occasional night out on the town.

Barra beach was voted one of the top five beaches in the southern hemisphere Scattered along this golden coastline are a variety of tropical beach bars each characterized with its own island style vibe.
